Micro Weddings | Intimate Weddings | Elopements

Hello New York City and beyond!

If you are:

  • looking for an experienced (and nice) photographer to capture your micro wedding or elopement

  • keeping your wedding on the smaller and preferably less expensive side

  • hoping for something casual yet elegant yet fun yet memorable

We should probably chat.

First, scroll down to learn a bit about me and what I offer.

Hi, my name is Ari just like it says at the top of the website!

I moved to NYC in 1996 to be a rock star but that didn’t pan out so in 2007 I bought a camera and started taking pictures of stuff. I’ve taken tens of thousands of photos during my 17-year career (look around my site for some).

Despite having photographed a dozen or so weddings, I have never labeled myself a “wedding photographer.” This is actually the first time I’ve advertised myself in this way.

If you’re looking for someone who only photographs weddings, teaches a course on wedding photography that costs $2997, and writes website copy like Let us create magic by telling your unique love story through my lens, I may not be the photographer for you.

Seriously. Someone else will be a better fit and I want you to find that person.

However, if you’d like an experienced photographer who’s also a good communicator and cool and nice to capture your big (or small) day, let’s chat.

Some notes

We’ll talk before the wedding date about what you hope to capture, moments you’d like to make sure I get, and more. We’ll make sure we’re on the same page.

I do all of my own editing (and always have). I keep tones and colors true-to-life. Nothing overly saturated or desaturated. I like photos to look like life and tend to stay away from editing trends that might look dated in a few years.

All black & white photos will have a color copy.

I am fully supportive of LGBT couples and have no restrictions whatsoever on who I will photograph. Unless you’re a jerk!

If there is a dog in your wedding party, I will probably take more photos than necessary.

I hope to soon have a standalone website for my wedding services.
